A Palestinian man was injured in his hand on Friday, July 28, 2023, after an attack by Israeli settlers on his vehicle near the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah in the West Bank.
According to local sources, a group of settlers targeted a resident’s vehicle from the town of Beitunia with stones near the village of Al-Mughayyir.
The attack resulted in the man being wounded in his hand due to shattered glass, and he was subsequently taken to the Al-Mughayyir Medical Center for necessary treatment.
Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli forces, carry out semi-daily attacks on Palestinian villages and towns in the occupied West Bank, aiming at seizing their lands in favor of the settlement expansion.
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) and the government have been widely criticized for supporting and protecting settler violence against Palestinians.
Since the beginning of 2023 until July 4, 525 settler attacks have been recorded in the West Bank, with 137 incidents resulting in injuries to Palestinians and 388 causing damage to their properties, according to data provided by the United Nations.
