Days of Palestine – Nablus
Today, Monday, a bulldozer belonging to the Israeli occupation forces demolished expansions and improvements in Khan al-Laban al-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus city, according to a local source.
The head of Al-Labban Village Council, Yaqoub Owais, said that the occupation forces surrounded Al-Khan area since the morning hours, and a bulldozer belonging to it began demolishing the gates, windows, and extensions for the second time in a row after they had been repaired and damaged the barbed wire surrounding the area.
Khan al-Laban al-Sharqiya is an archaeological site built in the Ottoman era, covers an area of 300 dunums, and contains a spring of water. For years, the area has been subject to continuous attacks by the Israeli authorities and settlers, who aim to seize it, as it is located in the area connecting the illegal Israeli settlements of Eli and Ma'ale Levona.
