Gaza registered 47 new infections from the coronavirus in the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday, reported the heath ministry in Gaza.
In a statement, the Health Ministry said the territory’s virus count rose to 2223 confirmed cases, including 17 deaths, and 468recoveries. The number of active cases has reached 1738.
The ministry called on residents to pursue social distancing to help stem the spread of the virus.
