Israeli army today notified a number of Palestinians in the northern Jordan Valley village of Fasayil of its intention to demolish their under–construction houses and animal barns under the pretext that they were built without Israeli permission.

Said that the Israeli military has been intensifying its policy of delivering demolition notices in the area as a way to forcibly displace Palestinians and to serve Israel’s colonial takeover of the land.

The Jordan Valley forms a third of the occupied West Bank, with 88 percent of its land classified as Area C – under full Israeli military control.

Israeli authorities rarely issue construction permits to Palestinians in the Jordan Valley, forcing many to build without permits in order to provide shelter for their families.
