Days Of Palestine – Hebron
The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Tuesday announced the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque Hebron to Muslim worshipers for two days to allow Jewish settlers to celebrate a religious event.
Director of the Mosque Hafdi Abu Snaineh said that the IOA notified him about the closure of the Islamic holy site as of 10:00 pm on Tuesday until 10:00 pm on Thursday in order to allow settlers to perform their rituals inside it on the occasion of the Sukkot holiday.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) also intensified their presence at the entrances and barriers outside the Mosque and set up more road barriers and checkpoints in the Old City of Hebron.
The IOF also obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens living near the Mosque and made it hard for them to leave or enter their homes.
Following the 1994 massacre of 29 Palestinian worshippers inside the Mosque by extremist Jewish settler Baruch Goldstein, the IOA imposed its control over the holy site.
