Israeli suppressive troop comes down heavily on Palestinian prisoners

Days of Palestine -

An Israeli suppressive unit stormed on Friday Palestinian prison cells in the Negev desert jail and cracked down on the detainees, sparking tension.

The Prisoners’ Movement warned that the assault makes part of Israeli torture tactics aiming to divert attention from simmering aggressions on Jerusalem’s holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

Tension has been running high in Negev lock-up, amid rising concerns of escalating crackdowns by the Israeli prison authorities.
