Days of Palestine, Jerusalem -Israeli occupation forces demolished on Sunday six Palestinian homes and kindergarten on the highway between Jerusalem and Jericho.
The houses belonged to Palestinian Bedouin families and the Israeli authorities demolished them under the pretext that they were constructed without licenses.
Head of the Committee for Protecting Bedouin Communities Jameel Hamadin said that members of the Israeli Civil Administration, accompanied by Israeli forces, encircled the neighbourhood of Satah Al-Bahar, where the structures were located, and announced that it was a closed military zone.
He added: “While they prevented any of the residents from leaving the neighbourhood or entering it, they dismantled the all the structures.”
In addition, he said that at least 25 inhabitants, including a number of children were displaced by the demolitions.
About the kindergarten, which was demolished, he said that it provided the education for 12 children from the Bedouin neighbourhood.
Meanwhile, Hamadin said that the construction of all the demolished facilities were funded by the European Union.
