Days of Palestine, Dubai -Palestinian female teacher Hanan al-Haroun from occupied West Bank has been chosen the best teacher in the world, winning $1m prize.
Al-Haroub from Ramallah grew up in a refugee camp and is now teaching Palestinian refugees in one of the refugee camps in the occupied West Bank.

She has been known for adopting a teaching approach depending on teaching through playing.
“I want to take my students a little bit out of their daily life as they always experience violence represented by the Israeli raids of their villages, schools and homes,” Al-Haroub said.
Addressing the audience, who attended a celebration in Dubai, she said: “Teachers could change the world.”
She said: “I am proud to be a Palestinian female teacher standing on this stage holding the profession of the greatest teach in the world: Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him.”
Palestinians all over the occupied Palestine and abroad celebrated Al-Haroub’s winning this global prize. “All of us feel proud of this great Palestinian teacher, who took our heads very high up,” Sami Samara, secondary school teacher from Gaza, said.
