Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Hamas said on Sunday new round of indirect talks with the Israelis is to start after the holiday of Eidul-Adha.
Senior Leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas Salah al-Bardaweel said: “The upcoming round of indirect talks is going to discuss the issue of the seaport, airport and the release of the Palestinian MPs and rearrested prisoners.”
Al-Bardaweel added: “The Israeli occupation is trying to include a new point for the discussion in the upcoming talks –the issue of prisoners’ swap.”
He said his movement refuses the Israeli demand about the swap, noting the current delegation is not specialist in such an issue. “The prisoners’ swaps needs another specialist team,” Al-Bardaweel said.
Hamas and the Israeli occupation reached on August 26 an open-ended ceasefire deal brokered by Egypt. The deal ended 51-day Israeli war on the Gaza Strip that claimed the lives of more than 2,160 Gazans and wounded more than 11,000.
According to the deal, hostilities to stop from both sides, the eight-year old Israeli siege on Gaza to be lifted, fishing zone in the Mediterranean for the Gaza fishermen to be expanded, etc…
