Days of Palestine, Gaza –Israeli occupation destroyed 950 factories, shops and economic firms during the ongoing massive Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
Head of the Palestinian Businessmen Association Ali al-Hayek said that Israeli occupation forces had completely destroyed 450 factories and partially destroyed some 500 factories during the war.
Al-Hayek’s remarks came as he concluded a meeting with the Deputy Palestinian Economic Minister Mohamed Mustafa.
About the effect of this destruction on the work force, Al-Hayek said that 30,000 workers have lost their work. This number is added to the 170,000 workers already without work because of the strict eight-year old Israeli siege on Gaza.
