The Israeli occupation authorities and settlers carried out 1197 attacks and violations within the month of October, ranging from attacks on citizens, vandalism, razing of land, uprooting trees, seizure of property, and closures.
These violations were mainly in Hebron (224 violations,) followed by Nablus (220) and then Ramallah (201) which are areas surrounded by illegal settlements housing different groups of extremist Jews.
The number of attacks carried out by settlers reached a record number in October, with 254 attacks, compared to the number in September.
The Israeli occupation authorities in October issued 12 warrants, including demolition notices and cessation of construction under the pretext of lack of license, most of which were in Qalqilya and Tubas. The demolitions carried out by the occupation forces amounted to 43 demolitions of houses and commercial facilities, mostly in Hebron, and Jerusalem.
A total of 1,584 trees were damaged and uprooted by illegal Israeli settlers, all of which were olive trees, mainly in Nablus, Hebron, and Tubas.
Since the beginning of October 2022, the Israeli occupation authorities have revealed that they have approved a number of settlement expansion plans in the occupied West Bank. Settlement plans were focused on the center and north of the West Bank, where they targeted nine illegal Israeli settlements, amounting to 4,762 dunums of Palestinian land, as follows:
|Settlement plans approved in October 2022|
|Number||Name of the settlement||Settlement Plan No.||Area (dunums)||Targeted villages|
|1||Modi’in Ilit||20/210||4,000||Dayr Qadis
Kharbatha Bani Harith

Among the approved plans that threaten thousands of Palestinian lands, the settlement plan No. 20/210 in Modi’in Ilit settlement, west of Ramallah, targeting an area of 4,000 dunums of Palestinian lands that are part of Dayr Qadis, Kharbatha Bani Harith, Bil’in and Ni’lin villages.
This is in addition to the settlement plan No. 211/1/11/1 in the settlement of Kfar Ha-Oranim, where the plan targets 620 dunums of Palestinian lands part of the town of Shalta, west of Ramallah.
The Israeli occupation also seized a total of 616 dunums Palestinian lands to expand the settlement of “Eli” near Nablus.

It is worth noting that since the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993, the Israeli occupation has doubled its illegal settlements growth from 69 square kilometers (1.2% of the total area of the West Bank) to 201 square kilometers in the current year (3.5% of the total area of the West Bank). This also applies to the number of illegal Israeli settlers, which rose from 240,000 settlers to nearly one million settlers this year.
