Spokesman of the Hamas Movement Hazem Qassem on Saturday said that Israel has escalated its aggression against the Palestinian people and their holy sites after some Arab regimes normalized ties with it.
“Normalization agreements encourage Israel to intensify its crimes against our Palestinian people,” Qassem added.
Qassem stressed in a press statement that Israel will remain the arch enemy of the Arab and Muslim world and will never be a normal entity in the region, adding that the Palestinian cause will remain the central issue for all segments of the Ummah.
He called on the Arab and Muslim world to “raise their voices” against Israeli aggression and unify their efforts to confront the Israeli occupation project, which targets not only the Palestinian people but also the Arab national security and interests.
Israel continued its brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip for the second day running, leaving more than 15 Palestinian civilians including a woman and a child killed, dozens wounded, and several houses destroyed, according to the Palestinian ministry of health.
