Shereen Abu Akleh’s niece, Lina, said on Monday, September 5, that the US administration keeps a blind eye in terms of the assassination of her aunt at a press conference in Washington
Shereen’s family said they felt US officials were of no help to their demand of justice for the slain journalist.
It has been nearly five months and no actual justifications regarding the horror incident by the Israeli snipers during violent raids by the Israeli soldiers in the occupied city of Jenin.
Lina stressed that her family does not trust the Israeli investigations and urges the US to gather evidence and bring those involved to justice. However, the Biden administration shows some sort of ambiguity to conduct a probe on its own.
Despite the fact that several testimonies and investigations conducted by international outlets such as CNN and Washington Post which concluded that Abu Akleh was killed by Israeli gunfire, Israeli occupation still denies the crime.
In recent updates, the Palestinian investigations proved that the journalist was being assassinated on purpose by IOF snipers during a raid in the northern city of Jenin.
