Morocco’s deadly earthquake claimed almost 2,500 people’s lives according to according to the country’s Interior Ministry.
In a statement published on Monday, the Ministry said 2,476 other people were injured in the magnitude-7 earthquake that jolted the North African country late Friday.
Massive damage was documented in Marrakech from the deadly quake.
Rescue teams resumed the search for missing people entrapped under the rubble for the fourth day in a row following the quake.
Rescuers pulled out some people from under the remains of crumpled buildings in various areas struck by the deadly earthquake.
On Sunday, a Palestinian delegation, including rescue personnel and medical teams, embarked from the West Bank to Morocco joining efforts in search and rescue operations following a devastating earthquake that struck southwest of Marrakech.
