The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned Sunday, June 18, 2023, the recent decision by the Israeli occupation to expedite the procedures for the construction and expansion of settlements in the West Bank.
In a statement, Ambassador Sana’an Al-Majali, the ministry’s spokesperson, affirmed that the settlement expansion and the displacement of Palestinians from their homes constitute a flagrant violation and a grave breach of international law and resolutions.
He called on the international community to take immediate action to halt the unilateral Israeli measures.
Al-Majali stated that Israel’s practices are illegitimate, illegal, rejected, and condemned.
They represent a serious violation of international humanitarian law and undermine the foundations of peace and the prospects for a two-state solution.
