Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the Israeli assassination of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
The Jordanian Ministry denounced the killing of the Palestinian journalist and demanded an immediate and transparent investigation into the crime.
“We condemn this heinous crime that was committed in cold blood against journalists wearing a press-marked uniform,” said Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson Faisal Shboul.
The minister added: “This crime is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and international conventions and norms, which stipulate that journalists and media workers must be protected.”
He called on the international community to take action to protect journalists and media workers.
