The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the recent ‘Israeli escalation’ in the Palestinian territories, with the latest aggression being the attack on Jenin on Tuesday evening.
In a press statement issued today, the ministry’s official spokesperson, Sanan Al-Majali, emphasized the urgent need to halt the incursions into all Palestinian cities, warning of the dire consequences of this escalation, which only serves to further deteriorate the situation and foster violence.
Al-Majali also stressed the immediate and effective action required from the international community to halt the Israeli escalation and provide protection for the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In addition, he underscored the necessity of safeguarding Palestinian cities from repeated assaults, as well as putting an end to the escalation that constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law. Furthermore, Al-Majali called for an immediate halt to campaigns against the Palestinian people.
Since Tuesday, six Palestinians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli gunfire, with four of them killed during the incursion into Jenin camp and another in the incursion into Aqaba Jaber camp in Jericho.
