The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine confirmed today, Monday, August 1st that the Israeli occupation has a premeditated intention to execute the prisoner Khalil Awawdeh, stressing that any harm that occurs to the prisoners will cost the enemy a heavy price and will be the beginning of an escalation against the Zionist entity,” as he described.
The leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Sheikh Khader Habib, stressed that the detention of administrative prisoners is “unjust, illegitimate and illegal, and condemned all over the world, and is only used in the occupied territories by the occupying powers against our (The Palestinian) people, our sanctuary, and our path.”
This came during a supportive stand organized by the Islamic Jihad Movement and the Mohaja Al-Quds Foundation, in support of the prisoner Khalil Awawdeh, who is on hunger strike, in refusal of the administrative detention for the 142nd day, in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza City.
The leader, Habib, considered that the policy of administrative detention is unjust, illegitimate, and illegal, as it is without an indictment, and is considered Zionist abuse and criminality practiced against the people of Palestine.
The leader Habib also stressed that the delay in releasing the prisoner, Awawda, means that there is a premeditated intention by the Israeli occupation to execute the prisoner, a crime that the enemy wants to commit to be added to the series of crimes against our people and the captive movement.
The Islamic Jihad leader pointed out that the Palestinian people “record all the crimes of the occupation, write them down, and do not forget them.”
He stressed that any harm inflicted on the prisoners would cause the enemy to pay dearly, and would be the beginning of an escalation against the Zionist entity.
Sheikh Habib said: “In the event that Awawdeh is martyred, it would mean that the Zionist enemy executed him in cold blood and the criminal enemy will be held accountable for that.”
Sheikh Habib criticized the silence of the world and the impotence of international and human rights institutions, which he considered were the ones that emboldened the enemy to commit more crimes.
He stressed that the resistance will accomplish an honorable prisoner exchange deal, and the prisoners languishing in prisons will be released.
