Israel’s new government has worsened the status quo in Palestine, already in tension with the rise of Israeli terrorism, aiming at erasing Oslo Accords.
The new decisions adopted by Netanyahu’s government violated the Oslo Accords signed in 1993. Haaretz reported that Israel is erasing Oslo.
Oslo Accords resulted in both recognition of Israel by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and the recognition by Israel to PLO.
Within Oslo, the Palestinian Authority PA would assume governing responsibilities in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
While the previous Israeli government had never committed to Oslo, Netanyahu’s came to erase the remnants of the Accords.
The new Israeli government, the most racist and right-wing in Israel’s history, adopted more racist decisions, denying the existence of Palestine and depriving Palestinians of their legal rights.
“The Jewish people have an exclusive and inalienable right to all parts of the Land of Israel,” the motto of Israel’s new government read.
New Israeli sanctions were imposed on PA with the coming of Netanyahu’s government. Israel intends to transfer 139 million shekels, belonging to PA, to Jewish families.
Since the Israeli Knesset passed a vote of confidence in right-wing Netanyahu’s government, the new far-right government has been unfolding the racist and fascist face of Israel.
