DaysofPal – The Israeli writer Yossi Verter stated that even the most successful assassinations will not save Netanyahu from the bitter fate he is speeding toward. He added that no amount of glory will change the crooked ways of the man leading Israel.
In his article for Haaretz newspaper, Verter said that Netanyahu and his team are systematically destroying Israel.
He criticized the current government, noting that an economic criminal runs the Ministry of Finance, a constitutional criminal oversees the Ministry of Justice, and a national criminal heads the Ministry of War.
Above them all, Verter pointed out, is a prime minister whose actions are driven by external political and personal considerations.
He added, “The Minister of Finance, who has lowered ‘Israel’s’ credit rating to the level of Bulgaria and Kazakhstan, knows that he cannot be touched in reality and that he will receive everything he asks for, in the meantime.”
“Defense Minister Yoav Galant, who is focused solely on his job and receives higher marks than any other cabinet member, is now in Netanyahu’s crosshairs and is under surveillance,” Verter continued.
“It is true that the collective euphoria we felt over the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is appropriate, but we should not be confused and accept the reality.
This government still consists of Netanyahu, Smotrich, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and the rest of the corrupt gang.”
He pointed out that the miserable attempt to turn Netanyahu’s unnecessary trip to New York and the enjoyable weekend he planned there into a detour designed to hide “Israel’s” true intentions before the assassination does not stand up to any discussion, as the facts contradict and conflict with the narrative that Netanyahu’s followers have been trying to create since Friday.
He explained that Netanyahu “hesitated and delayed in making the decision to approve the assassination of Nasrallah, and in any case, he did not want to carry out the new regional order operation before the end of the Saturday operation in Manhattan to satisfy the whims of Sara Netanyahu.
If it were not for the hollow and deceptive propaganda launched by his office after the assassination, the truth would have surprised us at that time.”
The Israeli writer pointed out that it must be remembered that 101 prisoners represent a year of hell in Gaza, and that all of “Israel’s” victories will be in vain if they do not return home.
A speech to empty seats and lies we are tired of..
Regarding Netanyahu’s speech in New York, the writer noted that an hour before the Beirut strike, Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly to an empty hall, and the mass walkout of most delegations served as a symbol of “Israel’s” international standing nearly a year after October 7.
It didn’t have to be this way. The departure of countries from the UN left Netanyahu’s supporters in the hall, some of whom had flown in from Israel, while others had been summoned from across the United States.
They applauded enthusiastically and cheered in a manner that was terribly embarrassing. It was as if the UN headquarters on Second Avenue had been transformed into a meeting of the Likud Central Committee, highlighting the wretchedness of the appearance. The speech itself was disappointing, even somewhat embarrassing, Verter asserted.
The speaker was off-topic, often confused, and the visual aids—maps, of course, and blessings—recycled the trick that Netanyahu often uses.
Embracing peace with Saudi Arabia was embarrassing, especially considering that the delegation’s seats were clearly empty. This is particularly poignant when we understand the price of peace: the recognition of a Palestinian state.
He concluded by saying, “It was also the case when Netanyahu claimed, ‘I will do everything to return the prisoners to their homes.’ This was weak nonsense.”
