September saw an elevated number of Israeli occupation violations against the Palestinian people in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
During the reporting period, at least 4492 colonial Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa mosque and performed provocative Talmudic rituals in some of its yards. All colonial settlers and the settlements in which they live are illegal under international law.
The report recorded the Israeli occupation detention of at least 162 Palestinians, including women and minors.
Moreover, at least 56 arrest warrants were issued by the Israeli occupation, including 6 administrative detentions, 18 house arrests, and 11 prison sentences, according to data collected by Marsad Network.
At the same time, the Israeli occupation issued 36 banishment orders against Jerusalemite activists and employees of the Jerusalem Waqf (Endowment) Department, al-Qastal reported.
Israeli troops wounded 12 Palestinians, varying between live and rubber-coated metal bullets, severe attacks by Israeli forces and settlers, burns, head injuries, and fractures, in addition to hundreds of suffocation cases as a result of tear gas canisters being fired directly toward Palestinians.
During the reporting period, Israeli settlers have carried out 45 attacks against Palestinians and their property in occupied Jerusalem, including severely beating Palestinians, land theft, violating Islamic and Christian sanctities, and writing racist slogans on Jerusalemites’ cars and sabotaging them.
The Israeli occupation forces leveled 18 Palestinian-owned structures in occupied Jerusalem, leaving its people homeless.
The Israeli occupation approved four settlement projects in various areas of occupied Jerusalem, including:
- Israeli troops approved two plans to build 3,884 new settlement units in the occupied city.
- A new plan to build a biblical garden covers 700 dunams belonging to Palestinian residents.
- The Israeli occupation confiscated 730 square meters of Palestinian land in the town of Al-Issawiya in favor of new Judaization projects.
- The Israeli occupation established a tunnel in the southern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to Judaize the city’s landmarks and the surroundings of the blessed mosque.
