Three Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Saturday evening after Israeli forces targeted the area around Sheikh Radwan Junction in northwestern Gaza City, in what authorities described as a new violation of the fragile ceasefire agreement.
According to local reporters, Israeli warplanes struck a gathering of civilians in the densely populated area, killing three people instantly and leaving multiple others in critical condition. Emergency teams struggled to reach the wounded amid continued bombardment and heavy drone activity over the area.
With the latest killings in Sheikh Radwan, the death toll in Gaza rose to six on Saturday alone.
Earlier in the day, Bahjat Abu Al-Aish was shot and killed by Israeli fire in Jabalia refugee camp, while Alaa Ahmed died from wounds sustained in the Beit Lahia Project area. A child, Dua’a Mohammed Suleiman Rahim, also succumbed to injuries received earlier in Deir al-Balah.
In addition, a Palestinian man was injured by Israeli naval fire off the coast of Gaza City, while Israeli forces carried out demolition operations targeting residential buildings east of the city. Artillery and airstrikes were also reported in Khan Younis and eastern Al-Maghazi refugee camp.
These developments come amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement signed on October 10.
According to the latest figures from Gaza’s Ministry of Health, since the start of the ceasefire period alone, 975 Palestinians have been killed and more than 2,240 injured, while 761 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.
Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, the total death toll has risen to 72,588 killed and 172,370 injured. Thousands more remain missing under the rubble or in areas inaccessible to rescue teams due to ongoing strikes and severe shortages of equipment.
