DaysofPal- The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli military offensive, which began on March 2 and continued through April 6, has risen to 1,497.
In its daily report issued by the Emergency Operations Center, the ministry also confirmed that the number of injured has increased to 4,639.
Airstrikes carried out across various regions of Lebanon on Monday resulted in further casualties and widespread destruction to buildings and infrastructure.
According to the ministry, an airstrike targeting a civilian vehicle at the Kfar Reman roundabout in the Nabatieh district killed four people. Another strike on the town of Hariss in southern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of two more individuals.
In a significant escalation, Israeli warplanes launched a strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut after issuing renewed warnings for residents in several neighborhoods, including Ghobeiry, Bourj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik, Chiyah, Laylaki, Hadath, and Tahwitat al-Ghadir.
Additional airstrikes and artillery shelling hit multiple towns in southern Lebanon, including Tyre Dabba, Majdal Zoun, Qalila, Dweir, Dbin, Bazouriyeh, Jmeijmeh, Majdal Selm, Zibdine, Qana, Halta, and Khiam, along with several other villages across the region.
Other areas affected included Barghaz, Adshit, Barashit, Siddiqin, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Ansariyeh, Bafliyeh, Meidoun, Houbaish, Burj Rahal, Bint Jbeil, Hanawieh, Sribbin, Kafra, Haddatha, Sultanieh, Harouf, Toul, and additional nearby towns.
The shelling also extended into the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon, including Mashghara, Saghbin, Qilya, and Zalaya, while air and artillery strikes continued across multiple fronts.
In parallel, Israeli forces carried out demolitions of residential buildings in the town of Bayyada, while fighter jets and drones maintained intensive overflights across Lebanese airspace, reaching areas near the capital.
