Israeli settlers set up on Thursday, June 22, 2023, a new settlement outpost on the lands of the village of Um Safa, northwest of Ramallah, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
Marwan Sabah, the head of Um Safa Village Council, reported that a group of Israeli settlers seized Palestinian land in the middle of the village and set up tents on it.
He added that Israeli forces erected a military checkpoint at the entrance of the village, stopping and searching the vehicles of Palestinians, while scrutinizing their identification cards.
Israeli settlers have repeatedly attacked Um Safa village, with the latest incident occurring a few days ago, leading to the uprooting of approximately 20 olive trees and the seizure of a water tank.
In a separate incident today, Israeli settlers installed six mobile homes, known as caravans, on the eastern lands of Al-Lubban, south of Nablus, along the road connecting Nablus and Ramallah.
Another group of Israeli settlers established a new settlement outpost near the Arab Al-Ka’abneh, west of Jericho.
