Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces IOF, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Wednesday morning, August 9, 2023, through Al-Maghariba Gate.
On Wednesday early morning, Israeli occupation forces were deployed in the courtyards and gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque to secure protection for the entry of the settlers.
The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that dozens of settlers invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque, conducted provocative tours within its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the Bab al-Rahma area to the east of the mosque.
The Israeli forces continue to restrict the entry of worshipers coming from Jerusalem and the occupied territories to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, thoroughly checking their identities and detaining some at its external gates.
Jerusalemites continue to call for mass gatherings and steadfastness at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to thwart the occupation and settler’s Judaization schemes, including the upcoming Jewish holidays.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque faces daily violations and incursions by settlers, with the protection of IOF, in an attempt to exert complete control over the mosque, dividing it both temporally and spatially, except on Fridays and Saturdays.
In July 2023, at least 6558 colonial Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa mosque and performed provocative Talmudic rituals inside.
