DaysofPal- Four Palestinians were injured on Saturday morning during an attack by Israeli settlers on the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, as Israeli settlers escalate attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank.
According to Mousa Obeiyat, head of the Kisan village council, a group of settlers stormed the village and opened live fire at residents, wounding two people with gunshots. Two others were also injured after being beaten during the assault.
Moreover, he added that the settlers seized around 100 sheep belonging to local resident Atta Allah Ibrahim Obeiyat during the attack, describing the incident as part of a pattern of repeated assaults targeting residents and their property in the Kisan wilderness area.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that its teams in Bethlehem treated two victims suffering from live gunshot wounds to the lower limbs, a 52-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, following the settler attack in the nearby area of Kisan al-Rashaida.
The organization also said Israeli forces prevented an ambulance from reaching the area to evacuate the wounded.
The village of Kisan, as well as villages of the Palestinian community, have experienced repeated attacks by Israeli settlers in recent years, including assaults on residents’ property and the establishment of a settlement outpost on village land.
