In a troubling incident on Thursday evening, a group of Israeli settlers, accompanied by Israeli military forces, launched an attack on the village of Al-Auja, located north of Jericho.
Local sources reported that dozens of settlers stormed the village, dispersing themselves among the homes of Palestinians while provocatively displaying Israeli flags.
The Israeli military responded by firing tear gas canisters toward Palestinians and their homes, fortunately, resulting in no reported injuries.
There’s been a dramatic rise in violence carried out by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank this year, with more than 100 incidents reported a month according to the UN.
