Colonial Israeli settlers attacked on Sunday, 12 February 2023 Palestinian-owned properties in the occupied West Bank neighborhoods and cities.
Local Palestinian media reported that Israeli settlers carried out multiple attacks against the Palestinain vehicles and olive trees in the occupied west bank cities of Salfit, Hebron, and Nablus.
A group of colonial Israeli settlers under the Israeli forces’ protection attacked vehicles belonging to Palestininan residents in Salfit, Hebron, and Nablus, completely or partially damaging them.
In a related incident, dozens of Israeli settlers of the illegal Israeli settlement of ‘Rahalim’ uprooted and stole about 20 perennial olive trees owned by the two Palestinian brothers Rageh and Reda Atiani in the occupied West Bank village of Yasouf, east of Salfit.
Israeli settlers’ attacks have escalated recently against the Palestinian citizens’ own lands in occupied West Bank villages including attacking the Palestinian homes, vehicles, and lands.
Last night’s attacks are part of an ongoing wave of unabated settler violence encouraged by the new far-right Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu and with incitement from his ultranationalist cabinet ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.
In 2022, Israeli settlers have carried out more than 290 attacks on Palestinians and their own property in the occupied West Bank, 230 of which caused property damage, and 60 of them caused injuries to Palestinian residents, according to United Nations reports.
More than 650,000 colonial settlers were distributed among 164 illegal settlements and 124 outposts built on the stolen lands of occuiped West Bank and Jerusalem.
The West Bank and Jerusalem lands are occupied territories based on International law due to this all Israeli settlement-building activities there are illegal.
