Israeli Settlers attacked, Palestinian farmers and shepherds in Khirbet Akweis, and Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron today, Tuesday, July 26th,
Palestinian farmer Jibril Abu Aram said that “The Israeli settlers of the settlements of Mitzpe Yair and Susiya, which are built on the lands belonging to Palestinian citizens east of Yatta, attacked the farmers with batons and insulted them with profanity, and grazed their livestock in the crops of wheat, barley, and olive seedlings, which caused their destruction.”
On his part, the coordinator of Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission east of Yatta, Ratib Jabour, confirmed that “The heavily armed settlers exchange roles with the occupation authorities, which always provide them with full protection, in escalating their attacks against the citizens of villages south of Hebron.”
Jabour pointed out that “The attacks are distributed between attacking homes and facilities, grazing their livestock on citizens’ lands, destroying electricity networks, and stealing drinking water, to force citizens to leave their homes and lands, in favor of settlement expansion.
