Two Israeli settlers attempted today, Sunday, March 19, to attack the Gethsemane Church in occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem governorate said that two extremist Israeli settlers stormed the church and tried to vandalize its contents, but the Palestinian citizen Hamza Ajaj confronted them. One of them was arrested and the other fled from the place.
It’s reported that this is the fifth attack on Christian places of worship in Jerusalem by Israeli extremists, since the beginning of this year.
Earlier, an Israeli settler stormed the building of the “Christ’s imprisonment” church in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, broke and destroyed some of its contents, and tried to set it on fire.
The cemetery of the Episcopal Church was also attacked and crosses were broken by the Israeli colonizers. They also attempted to storm the Armenian Patriarchate and wrote racist phrases on its walls.
