A Palestinian young man died of the critical wounds he sustained when he was shot by an Israeli settler in Hebron, Friday, May 26, 2023.
Israeli media claimed that the Palestinian tried to carry out a stabbing attack inside the Israeli “Tana Omrim” settlement, which is built on Palestinian citizens’ lands, south of Hebron.
There are 22 Israeli settlements in Hebron (south of the West Bank), in addition to 15 settlement outposts and 4 industrial settlements. About 21,000 settlers live in these settlements.
Additionally, the Israeli occupation has established 20 checkpoints across the city of Hebron, preventing social communication between the Palestinian citizens, specifically in the areas that have been divided, and which are closed continuously.
