The Community Action Center of Al-Quds University published Tuesday a report confirming that Israel used excessive force toward citizens in the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

The publication of the report came during a press conference held by the Community Action Center, at the Public Library of Al-Quds University in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.

The report covered the Israeli violations against Palestinian worshippers in Jerusalem during the holy month of Ramadan. It includes incursions, forced evictions, shooting rubber bullets, and assaulting women, children, and the elderly.

“The report reached the conclusion that there was no need to resort to violence, as the occupying forces deliberately used excessive and indiscriminate force against Palestinians and deprived them of their freedom of worship at Al-Aqsa, which resulted in 1,200 people injured, including 500 who needed a hospital.

Khaldoun Najm, a Jerusalemite lawyer, said, “We have to document these attacks and violations to convey them to international human rights organizations, to let the world know the scale of these attacks.”

IOF suppresses Palestinian worshippers in the Aqsa mosque, using excessive force against defenseless worshipers including women, children, and the elderly.

Since the beginning of Ramadan, hundreds of Palestinians were injured and detained by Israeli occupation forces who seek to get the mosque clear of Palestinian worshippers to allow Israeli settlers to storm the Mosque and perform Talmudic Rituals in the Islamic sacred places in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
