The Israeli occupation transferred the Palestinian prisoner Abdullah Afif Zakarnah, 55 years, from the occupied city of Jenin, to administrative detention for a period of 6 months, according to family sources.
Wafaa Zakarnah, the prisoner’s sister, stated that the Israeli occupation rejected the lawyer’s request to release her brother, Abdullah, who was kidnapped at the Za’tara military checkpoint, south of the occupied city of Nablus, a few days ago.
Zakarnah was prosecuted and kidnapped several times. He spent more than 8 years in the Israeli occupation jails.
Israel’s policy of administrative detention allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.
