The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) said, on Sunday, that it has deployed its defensive forces, and is ready for any escalation on various fronts, including launching a new war against the Gaza Strip.
This came in statements made by the occupation’s forces spokesman, Ran Kochav, to the Hebrew newspaper “Yediot Aharonot”, during which he touched on the “security tension” in the occupied West Bank.
The 2022 year witnessed escalations of the Israeli occupation forces, settlers, and authorities’ crimes against Palestinians across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
The latest of its crimes against humanity was at dawn on Saturday, April 2, 2022, when the IOF assassinated 3 Palestinians near the city of Jenin with cold blood.
Israeli occupation forces killed three Palestinians and injured a total of 135 others, including 22 children in the occupied West Bank in January, according to an OCHA report.
On 12 January, during a search operation in Jilijliya village (Ramallah), Israeli occupation forces detained, blindfolded, and handcuffed an 80-year-old man for about an hour. Shortly after the withdrawal of the Israeli forces, as he was showing no movement, he was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.
On 17 January, a 65-year-old Palestinian activist died of injuries sustained on 5 January, when he was run over by a tow truck that did not stop, during an Israeli occupation in Hebron.
On 24 January, Israeli occupation forces in Qalandiya refugee camp (Jerusalem) fired live ammunition, rubber bullets, and tear gas canisters as Palestinians threw stones at them; six Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets.
In its aggression on Gaza last May 2021, Israel wiped out entire families by bombing their safe homes on their heads.
The death toll among Palestinians in Gaza rose up to 230 people, including 65 children, and wounded 1,620 according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
After 11 days of intense fighting, a fragile cease-fire went into effect between Palestinian resistance and Israel early Friday in Israel, bringing to end the Israeli brutal aggression of the Gaza Strip.
