Israeli occupation forces released Thursday evening 21 April 2022 the Palestinian prisoner Anas Ibrahim Al-Barghouti, from the town of Aboud, after he spent nearly five years and a half in Israeli occupation jails.
The residents of the town of Aboud in Ramallah and Al-Bireh cities welcomed Al-Barghouti with songs and chanting slogans of support for the prisoners.
The occupation forces kidnapped al-Barghouti on February 23, 2017, and charged him with belonging to a “prohibited organization”.
After his trial was postponed more than 10 times, the Israeli Ofer court sentenced him to 5 years and 4 months in prison.
