Days of Palestine – Gaza
Israeli occupation navy forces targeted Thursday boats of Palestinian fishermen sailing off the Khan Younis coast, in the south of the Gaza Strip.
Local sources affirmed that Israeli occupation gunboats opened fire at the Palestinian fishermen, forcing them to return to the shore.
Fishing is the main source of income for thousands of Gazans, but the Israeli frequent navy attacks prevent the fishermen from earning a living.
Meanwhile, violent clashes erupted at dawn today, when Israeli police forces stormed different parts of Occupied Jerusalem.
A large-scale raid and arrest campaign was carried out in Silwan town, adjacent to the southern wall of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Similar confrontations erupted in Issawiya town, northeast of Occupied Jerusalem after Israeli forces stormed the town amid heavy firing of tear gas bombs and rubber-coated bullets.
In the same context, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested two young men from their family houses in Rummana and Qabatiya towns in Jenin.
A third young man was detained in Hebron, while two others were summoned for investigation.
Earlier Wednesday evening, clashes erupted in separate areas of the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem.
In Jenin, armed clashes broke out near the separation wall in Anin village after IOF soldiers stormed the village.
In Bethlehem, Palestinian youths stoned settlers’ vehicles in Tekoa town.
Molotov cocktail attack also targeted an IOF military watchtower set up at the entrance to Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of al-Khalil.
Meanwhile, a young man suffered serious gunshot injuries after being targeted by Israeli police forces at the entrance to al-Aqsa Mosque.
Also in Occupied Jerusalem, violent clashes erupted when Israeli forces suppressed a protest vigil denouncing the journalist Shireen Abu Akleh’s murder in Beit Hanina town.
At least 5 youths, including a paramedic, were wounded during the clashes while 6 others were arrested.
