Israeli occupation forces launched on Friday evening a military offensive against the Gaza strip.
Locals said Israeli warplanes bombed several places in the Gaza strip without warnings or military events from Gaza.
Nine Palestinian citizens, including senior leader of Islamic Jihad Tayseer al-Jabari were killed and 44 others injured in Israeli bombing on the Gaza Strip, as the Mistry of Health reported.
Names of citizens killed in the attack as the Palestinian Health Ministry reported:
1- Emad Abdel Rahim Shallah, 50
2-Youssef Salman Qaddoum, 24
3- Tayseer Mahmoud Al-Jabari, 50
4- Salama Muhareb Abed, 41
5- Alaa Abdullah Qaddoum, 5
6-Duniana Adnan Attia Al-Amour, 22
7- Mohammed Ahmed Abdel-Fattah Al-Madhoun, 26
8- Fadl Mustafa Zorob, 30
9- Muhammad Hassan Al-Bayouk, 35
Local sources said that an apartment located in Al-Shuhada street in the center of Gaza City was targeted, leaving multiple deaths and injuries.
In the southern Gaza Strip, four citizens, including two children, were injured by drone strikes west of Khan Younis province. Israeli jetfighters also targeted several resistance posts along Gaza border.
The missile attack heralded the beginning of a new Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, dubbed “Breaking Dawn”, which it claimed was targeting the Islamic Jihad resistance group.
Israeli Channel 13 reported that the occupation army targeted a senior leader of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement in the Gaza Strip.
The occupation forces also announced a “special situation” on the home front, with schools closed and limits placed on other activities in communities within 80 kilometers (50 miles) of the border.
