Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday 19 April 2022 fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets at Palestinian civilians in order to secure activity for settlers in an area south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, injuring at least 50 Palestinians.
Thousands of settlers started gathering in the north of the West Bank to take part in a march to the evacuated Homesh settlement located near the villages of Burqa and Bazaria, north of Nablus.
Palestinian residents of the villages confronted the Israeli occupation forces and settlers, who broke into their villages.
The occupation forces responded by firing tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at the Palestinians injuring over 50 people, some by rubber bullets, burns after being directly hit by tear gas or sound bomb, but most suffocating from tear gas inhalation.
The Israeli occupation army blocked several major northern West Bank roads and restricted the movement of Palestinians in order to secure the area for the provocative procession of the illegal settlers.
