Israeli occupation forces demolished Tuesday, February 27, 2023, three Palestinian houses in the town of Jabal Mukaber and the village of Al-Isawiya in occupied Jerusalem.
The occupation forces suddenly stormed the town of Jabal Al-Mukabber and started demolishing the house of a Palestinian citizen, Ihab Al-Hussaini.
Al-Hussaini’s mother said that she was surprised by the occupation forces surrounding the house from all sides and on top of the roofs of the houses, then proceeded to demolish her son’s house.
She added that the occupation forces raided her house near the house of her son during the demolition process, detained the family members inside, and prevented them from going out and filming the demolition from the windows of her house, as well as preventing Palestinian shop owners from filming the demolition process.
AL-Hussaini explained that her son, Ihab, built the house in 2017, and the Israeli occupation municipality imposed building fines on him twice, amounting to about 100,000 shekels. In November of last year, the occupation court refused to extend the demolition decision.
Ehab Al-Hussaini lived in the 100-square-meter house with his wife and 4 children.
The occupation forces also demolished this morning two houses belonging to Hassan Nader Muheisen, in the village of Al-Isawiya.
The far-right Israeli occupation government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, is escalating the demolitions of Palestinian homes, in violation of all international laws and resolutions.
In a related context, the occupation forces notified today two Palestinian citizens of the demolition of a house and a water well in Yatta, south of Hebron.
Local sources confirmed that the occupation forces raided the village and notified the citizens, Mahmoud al-Nawaja’a, to demolish his house, and Omar al-Nawaja’a, to demolish his water well. They also raided a number of houses and photographed them from the inside and outside in preparation to demolish them later.
