Days of Palestine – Gaza
Several Palestinian farmers suffered Saturday morning from their exposure to tear gas after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked them during their presence in an agricultural area in the east of the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, IOF fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters from watchtowers at a group of farmers as they were working on their own lands in the east of the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
The unjustified attack forced all the farmers to leave the area and go home.
Israeli occupation forces at the border regularly attack Palestinian farmers working on their lands near the fence to keep them away from that area.
Under an inhumane siege, the Israeli army keeps attacking — sometimes injuring or killing — civilians, farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis, with no regard for any ceasefire deal in Gaza or even the international law.
