The Israeli occupation has detained about 6000 Palestinian citizens since the beginning of this year, including 141 women and 739 children, according to what the Palestinian Prisoner Club announced.
The club added in a statement today, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, that the Israeli occupation issued 1829 administrative detention orders, while the highest detentions were recorded in occupied Jerusalem, and reached about 2700 cases.
The club affirmed that this year witnessed the most detentions, compared to the past few years, especially with the continued implementation of field executions, and the escalation of the number of detained wounded, whether they were detained immediately after the shooting, or who were arrested after periods of injury.
It pointed out that the escalation of the number of wounded among the Palestinian detainees in prisons led to a high number of difficult conditions that need a healthy health follow-up, and a number of them still face real risks to their lives.
The Prisoner Club stressed that the administrative detention operations in terms of current data are the most dangerous compared to the past few years, and the highest percentage of administrative detention orders during the month of August was 272. The number of administrative detainees in the occupation prisons reached until the end of October more than 820 detainees.
