The Israeli occupation deprived 33 Palestinian students of sitting for their General Secondary Exams on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.
Since the start of 2023, Israeli forces killed 4 Palestinian students and detained 29 others.
In a flagrant violation of international human rights standards, Israeli forces systematically deny Palestinian students of education, by using lethal force and arbitrary detention against them.
The international community, which has a moral obligation to condemn these acts of aggression, hasn’t yet taken practical measures to stop Israeli crimes.
This year’s exam season comes after a difficult month for students in Gaza as the exam takes place just one month after Israel’s May brutal assault on the Gaza Strip which killed 33 Palestinians, including 6 children, 3 women, 2 elders, and 22 men.
Students in the West Bank have also experienced hardships as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation and its brutal treatment of the Palestinians, including house demolition, arrest, killing, and raids.
