Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished on Tuesday, 26 September 2023 two Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank village of Nuweimah, north of Jericho.
Local Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces demolished two Palestinian homes owned by the Palestinian man Talib Daoud Zayed Rashaida.
Israeli occupation claimed that the Palestinain homes were built without a permit and had no license.
Israeli occupation is trying in various ways to forcibly displace Palestinians from their own lands and demolish their homes in favor of settlement expansion using pretexts most notably building without a permit.
In 2023, Israeli occupation demolished 720 Palestinian-owned structures in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, according to the United Nations Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OCHA).
The organization explained that most of the demolitions were carried out under the pretext of lacking a building permit, noting that “it is almost impossible for Palestinians to obtain such or that permit.”
