Israeli Occupation Arrests 50 Palestinian Workers in Salfit

The Israeli occupation forces arrested 50 Palestinian workers from the villages and towns of Haris, Deir Istiya and Qira in Salfit district and took them to the settlement of Ariel, which was illegally built on the lands of Salfit.

The Head of Haris Village Council, Omar Samara, said that Israeli occupation forces and police stormed the village of Haris today, as well as the towns of Deir Istiya and Qira, and arrested 50 workers working inside the occupied land of 1948 and their ages are between the twenties and forties.

Samara added that the occupation forces transferred the workers to the settlement of Ariel and later released 3 of them.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions, Shaher Saad, stressed that this comes in the context of an Israeli campaign targeting workers and restricting them.
