Israeli naval vessels on Saturday, September 23, 2023, pursued and targeted Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.
Zakaria Bakr, a spokesperson for the Fishermen’s Committees Union, reported that Israeli naval forces used water cannons to inundate fishing boats fishing in the waters off the Sudania area, west of Beit Lahia.
Bakr explained that using water cannons to douse fishing boats could damage the boats and disrupt the on-board equipment.
