Israeli naval vessels pursued on Friday, September 8, 2023, Palestinian fishing boats off Khan Yunis and Rafah shores, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli naval forces, stationed in the waters off Khan Yunis and Rafah, chased after working Palestinian fishing boats.
They opened fire towards the boats and released wastewater hoses in their direction, forcing them to retreat. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries among the fishermen.
Israeli naval forces have been regularly firing upon and pursuing fishermen in Gaza’s waters, making it increasingly difficult for them to sustain their livelihoods.
