Israeli Navy Open Fire at Gaza Fishermen
Israeli naval vessels opened fire on Sunday evening, September 10, 2023, towards Palestinian fishermen’s boats in the sea off the Rafah governorate, southern Gaza.
According to local sources, Israeli soldiers fired heavy machine gun rounds at the fishermen working off the coast of Rafah, forcing them to leave.
Israeli forces regularly pursue fishermen along the coastal strip of Gaza, depriving them of their livelihoods.

The Israeli occupation has maintained a stranglehold on the Gaza Strip since 2007, leading to a dire humanitarian crisis in the coastal enclave.
