Arab and International parties expressed anger and condemnation of hate speech done by Israel’s far-right wing minister Bezalel Smotrich about wiping out a Palestinian town on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Several organizations and groups called on the United States to impose a visa ban on Smotrich over his calls for wiping out a Palestinian village.

Earlier on Friday, The US Secretary of State spokesperson Ned Price decried Smotrich’s comments. Price described his comments as irresponsible, repugnant, and disgusting.

In addition, the Saudi ministry of foreign affairs rejected Smotrich’s ‘racist statements’, which reflect extremism practiced by the Israeli occupation towards the ‘brotherly Palestinian people’.

For its part, Egypt’s foreign ministry said that the Israeli minister’s calls for wiping out a Palestinian village are dangerous and unacceptable incitement.

“ The comments contradict all laws, customs, and moral values and Smotrich lacks the responsibility that any official in an official position should have,” the Egyptian ministry said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Gulf Cooperation Council condemned on Friday the racist statements of the Israeli Minister of Finance who called for the destruction of a Palestinian village.

In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the calls by Israel’s minister of Finance to erase a Palestinian village in occupied Nablus.

“Qatar holds the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for the cycle of violence resulted from Israel’s systematic policy against the Palestinian people, their lands and sanctities,” the statement added.

“I think the village of Huwara needs to be wiped out. I think the state of Israel should do it,” Smotrich was quoted as saying by Israeli media.

He made his speech one day after Israeli settlers attacked Huwara town. They killed a Palestinian man and injured 400 others. The settlers also set fire to dozens of Palestinian homes and vehicles.
