A video shared on social media captured a shocking incident during an anti-judicial reform protest in northern “Israel” on Saturday night, July 15, 2023.
Itzik Zarka, a Likud activist, was heard shouting derogatory remarks, including a disturbing reference to the Holocaust.
Standing alongside supporters of the far-right Lehava movement, Zarka exclaimed, “Ashkenazim, w****s. May you burn in hell. Not for nothing did six million die. I’m proud. If only six million more would burn.”
The video quickly sparked outrage and drew attention from various quarters. Netanyahu ordered Likud CEO Zuri Siso to expel Zarka from the party’s ranks.
For the 28th week, Israeli anti-government protests are going on in a rejection of the judicial reform plan. Some protests criticized the Israeli settlers’ crimes against Palestinians.
