Dozens of Jewish settlers escorted by police forces desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday morning.
According to local sources, at least 135 settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards.
During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed movement restrictions on Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates.
The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.
In a related context, Palestinian social media activists renewed their call on their compatriots in Jerusalem and other areas of Palestine to participate in the Great Fajr prayer tomorrow (Friday) at the Aqsa Mosque to be held under the slogan “We are not leaving.”
The activists called for performing the Friday Fajr prayer in all the Mosque’s buildings to assert their adherence to their Islamic holy site and frustrate the Judaization plots targeting it.
The Hamas Movement, for its part, urged the Palestinian masses everywhere to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque and other Mosques of Palestine to perform the Fajr prayer on Friday in order to show their support for the Great Fajr campaign that is organized in defense of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.
Recently, the Great Fajr campaign has been reactivated to urge the Palestinians from across the occupied territories to perform dawn prayers at the Aqsa Mosque. Such an event is aimed at intensifying the presence of Muslims at the Mosque to protect it against Judaization attempts.
